Ingredients for Onion Chutney:

  • Onions (Piyaz) - 1 no's
  • Green chillies (Hari mirch) - 2 no's
  • Red Chillies (Lal mirch) - 2 no's
  • Mustard seeds (Sarson) - 1 teaspoon
  • Urad dal - 2 teaspoon
  • Tamarind (Imli) - 1 piece
  • Brown sugar (Shakkar) - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon 
  • Salt to taste

Method for Onion Chutney:

  • Wash the onion and chop the it coraesly.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add Half of urad dal and chillies.
  • Fry for a minute and add the Onions & salt.
  • Fry till all the ingredients gets mixed.
  • Let it cool and add the tamarind,brown sugar ,grind to fine paste.
  • Season it with the remaining urad dal , mustard seeds in oil.
  • Enjoy Onion Chutney with hot dosa or rice.
