Mint Mango Chutney PDF Print E-mail

Ingredients for Mint Chutney:

  • Mango (Aam) - 1/4 Kg chopped
  • Mint leaves (Pudina) - A bunch
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Red onion (Piyaz)- 2 no's chopped
  • Ginger (Adrak) - 1 inch minced
  • Jalapeno pepper - 2 no's chopped
  • Packed brown sugar (Shakkar) - 1/2 cup    
  • Cider vinegar (Sirka) - 1/2 cup    
  • Raisins (Kishmish) - 2 tablespoon    
  • Curry powder - 2 teaspoon    
  • Cloves powder (Laung) - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon powder (Dalchini) - A pinch
  • Nutmeg powder  - A pinch
  • Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sugar (Chini) - 2 teaspoon

Method for Mint Chutney:

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add onion, ginger, and pepper.
  • Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add all ingredients except mango and mint leaves ,cover and cook 5 minutes.
  • Increase heat to medium-high and add the mango, and cook until liquid evaporates.
  • Stir in mint, let it cool and refrigerate .
  • Enjoy Mint Chutney with Indian snacks like samosa or pakora.
