Mint Chutney PDF Print E-mail


  • Mint - A bunch
  • Red Chillies - 2 no's
  • Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Urad dal - 2 teaspoon
  • Tamarind - 1 piece
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Asofoetida - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon 
  • Salt to taste

Method :

  • Wash the mint leaves and chop fine.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and add half of urad dal, & chillies.
  • Fry for a minute and keep it aside.
  • In the same pan add the mint and fry till it changes color.
  • Let it cool then add the tamarind, sugar, asofoetida and grind it to a fine paste.
  • Season mint chutney with the remaining urad dal and mustard seeds in an oil.
