Ingredients for Guava Chutney:

  • Guava - 1/4 Kg
  • Vinegar - 1 cup
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Red chili pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Brown Cardamoms  - 2 no's
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Ginger - 2 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Raisins  - 1 teaspoon
  • Almonds - 5
  • Salt to taste

Method for Guava Chutney:

  • Peel the guavas,cut into 2 halves and remove the seeds.
  • Cut into thin slices and cook with ginger, garlic and water.
  • Add sugar, crushed cardamoms, vinegar, chilli powder, raisins and almonds and cook on a hot fire till thick.
  • Cool and put in a jar and cork tightly.
  • Enjoy next day and so on.
