Ingredients for Apple Mango Chutney:

  • Mangoes unriped - 1/4 Kg
  • Apples - 1/4 Kg
  • Brown cardamoms - 2 no's  crushed
  • Vinegar - 1 cup
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 1/2
  • Garlic  - 4 cloves
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon
  • Raisins  - 4 teaspoon
  • Almonds  - 6 no's
  • Salt to taste

Method for Apple Mango Chutney:

  • Peel and cut mangoes and apples in slice and boil.
  • Cook mangoes and apples in water with ginger and garlic till tender
  • Add vinegar, sugar, almonds, red chili powder, cardamoms and raisins and cook till a little thick.
  • Cool, pour into jar, cork it tightly.
