Vegetarian Recipes - Chaat Recipe

Ingredients For Dahi Puri :

  • Puris (golgappa)  - 1 pkt (20 no’s)
  • Yoghurt (thick)  - 1/2 cup
  • Peas (boiled with salt) - 1/2  cup
  • Potatoes (boiled)  - 1/2  cup
  • Jeera(cumin seeds) - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Haldi Powder  -  1/4 teaspoon
  • Garam Masala - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chilli Powder  - 1/2  teaspoon
  • Imli Chutney  - 4 tablespoon
  • Oil (as required)
  • Salt to taste

For garnishing

  • Fresh Coriander (chopped)
  • Cumin Seed Powder (roasted)
  • Red Chilli Powder
  • Black Salt (kala namak)
  • Fine Sev (ready made)
  • Salt to taste

Method For Dahi Puri :

  • Take a pan and heat oil in it.
  • Add cumin seeds to the heated oil.
  • When the seeds start spluttering add the diced boiled potatoes.
  • Now add salt, chilli powder, haldi powder and garam masala powder.
  • Saute for a few minutes and then remove the pan from the stove.
  • Pour the yoghurt in a bowl and whip it properly.
  • Make a small hole at the centre of each puri.
  • Now put into it the boiled peas, potato mixture and little sweet chutney.
  • Pour two tsp of yogurt into the puri.
