Vegetarian Recipes - Raita Recipes

Ingredients for Beatroot Raita:

  • Beetroot - 1 no
  • Curd (Yogurt) - 1 cup
  • Green Chilli (Chopped) - 1 no
  • Vegetable Oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin Powder (Jeera) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Black mustard seed - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method for Beatroot Raita:

  • Beat the curd in a bowl , add salt , cumin powder and sugar to it.
  • Boil beatroot , peel the skin , grate it and mix it with above curd.
  • Heat oil in a pan , add mustard seeds and green chilli to it , let them splutter.
  • Remove from the fire and pour into the curd and beatroot mixture.
  • Garnish Beatroot Raita with chopped coriander leaves and enjoy with parathas.
