Vegetarian Recipes - Raita Recipes

Ingredients for Carrot Raita:

  • Carrot (Grated) - 1/2 Cup
  • Curd (Yogurt) - 1/4 Kg
  • Cumin Seeds (Roasted) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Mustard Seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Black Pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves to garnish

Method for Carrot Raita:

  • Crush the roasted cumin seeds and beat the curd with little water .
  • Mix above cumin powder , black salt , pepper and grated carrot well in the curd .
  • Heat oil in pan and add mustard seeds untill they splutter and turn it into the curd .
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve chilled with stuffed veg parathas .
