Kasundi
Ingredients for Kasundi:
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard seeds (Rai) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Slivered garlic (Lehsun) - 2 cloves
  • Turmeric powdec (Haldi) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chilli pepper (Lal mirch) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Tomatoes (Tamatar) - 4 no's chopped
  • White vinegar (Safed sirka) - 2 tablespoon   
  • Salt to taste
Method for Kasundi:
  • Heat oil in pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add mustard and garlic, cook, stirring, until mixture starts to brown.
  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and chopped tomatoes.
  • Stir well and cook for 2 minutes, add vinegar and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until thick, about 10 minutes.
  • Pour Kasundi into clean jars and seal.
