Ingredients for Naan:
- White flour (Maida) - 1/2 Kg
- Yeast (Khameer) - 1 teaspoon
- Nigella seed (Kalaunji) - 1 teaspoon
- Curd / yogurt - 1/4 cup
- Butter - 2 tablespoon
- Sugar (Chini) - 1 teaspoon
- Warm water - 1 cup
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
Ingredients for stuffing:
- Cheese (Paneer ) - 1/2 cup
- Onions (Piyaz) - 1 no's chopped
- Coriander leaves (Dhaniya patte)- A few
- Green chillies (Hari mirch) - 2 no's chopped
- Salt to taste
Method for stuffed naan:
- Mix all the stuffing ingredients together and keep aside.
- Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm water and keep aside for 10 minutes.
- Sift salt with flour and add nigella seeds,curd/yogurt, butter and yeast mixture.
- Knead well until it forms a soft dough,coat it with littel oil and cover with damp cloth.
- Keep the dough in a warm area for 2-3 hours till it is doubled in size,happens best in a warm area.
- Knead the dough again and divide into around 8 equal portions and flatten them a little
- Put small portion of the paneer stuffing in the center and close the edges and roll into pear shape.
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F and bake all the naans for 10 minutes and brush with butter before serving.
- Enjoy hot stuffed naan with any vegetable curries or any meat preparations.
