Ingredients for Cauliflower (Ghobi) Manchurian:
- Cauliflower (Ghobi) - 1 kg Florets
- Bengal gram powder (Besan) - 1/2 cup
- Corn flour (Starch) - 1 teaspoon
- Rice flour(chawal ) - 1 teaspoon
- Red chilly powder (Lal mirch) - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
For gravy:
- Onions (Piyaz) - 1 no's
- Green capsicum (Hari shimla mirch)- 1 no's chopped
- Red capsicum (Lal shimla mirch) - 1 no's chopped
- Spring onions (Hari piyaz) - 3 no's finely chopped
- Green chillies (Hari mirch) - 3 no's finely chopped
- Garlic (Lehsun) - 4 -5 no's finely chopped
- Soya sauce - 3 tablespoon
- Ajinomotto - A pinch
- White pepper (Safed mirch) - According to Taste
- Salt to taste
Method for Cauliflower (Ghobi) Manchurian:
- Mix together the besan (Gram Flour), corn flour, rice flour, chilly powder and salt and make batter using milk or water and marinate the florets in this batter for 20 minutes.
- Deep fry the marinated florets in oil and make sure that the cauliflower is well covered by the batter.
- Heat oil in another pan, fry the garlic and green chillies, till an aroma comes, then add onions, capsicum and one chopped spring onions.
- Stir fry them till cooked and add some water, soya sauce, ajinomotto, salt and white pepper and bring to boil, cook till the vegetables are cooked.
- Add of corn flour mixed in water to the boiling gravy and let the gravy to become little thicken, then finally add fried cauliflower to the gravy, cook for 5 minutes.
- Enjoy hot Cauliflower (Ghobi) Manchurian with Rice and garnish with spring onions.
