Ingredients for Vanilla Custard Ice Cream:
- Milk - 2 cups
- Cream - 3 cup
- Sugar - 1 1/2 cup
- Custard powder - 1 tablespoon
- Vanilla essence - 1 tablespoon
Method for Vanilla Custard Ice Cream:
- Mix the custard in 1/4 cup of the milk and keep aside.
- Heat the rest of the milk and sugar together till it reduced to 2/3 rd.
- Add the custard mixture and bring to a boil again, simmer for 1 minute .
- Remove from the heat and let it cool to room temperature , add vanilla essence.
- Pour the mixture into a container with a tight lid and freeze till almost set.
- Take out and whip up with a hand beater and place back into the freezer again.
- Make sure that the lid is always be tightly shut, as this avoids crystals from forming.
- Whip once more when almost set and place back in the freezer .
- Enjoy chilled and creamy vanilla ice-cream .
