Ingredients for Mutton Korma:
  • Mutton - 1/2 kg
  • Turnip (Shalgam) - 1/4 Kg
  • Tomato (Tamatar) - 3 no's
  • Onions (Piyaz) - 3 no's
  • Green chilly (Hari mirch) - 3 no's
  • Garlic (Lehsun) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (Adrak) - 1 inch piece
  • Coconut (Nariyal) - 1/2 cup grated
  • Tamarind pulp (Imli ka guda) - 1 teaspoon
  • Mint leaves (Pudina patte) - A bunch
  • Red chilly powder (Lal mirch) - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder (Haldi) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder (Dhaniya) - 2 teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
Method for Mutton Korma:
  • In a pressure cooker, add oil and fry mint leaves.
  • Add the chopped onions, tomato, ginger, garlic, green chilly and fry.
  • Add turmeric power, red chilly powder, and coriander powder and fry well.
  • Add meat pieces and turnip with salt and water and close the pressure cooker lid.
  • Allow it to cook for 3 whistles, remove from fire and leave to release pressure itself.
  • Mix the grated coconut and a teaspoon of tamarind pulp and add the salt.
  • Enjoy hot Mutton Korma with roti and rice.
