Ingredients:
- Promfret fish - 1 kg
- Coconut paste - 1 cup
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Dry red chillies - 4 no's
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Onions - 2 no's
- Tamarind paste - 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Clean fish and put salt and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Crush together chillies ,chopped onions ,tamarind paste and salt.
- Mix the coconut paste ,cumin powder and the crushed masala together in a pan and cook, adding water whenever necssary, for about 20 minutes.
- Add the cleaned and cut fish to which salt has been added and simmer till fish is cooked.
