Ingredients:
  • Promfret fish - 1 kg
  • Coconut paste - 1 cup
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dry red chillies  - 4 no's
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onions - 2 no's
  • Tamarind paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  • Clean fish and put salt and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes.
  • Crush together chillies ,chopped onions ,tamarind paste and salt.
  • Mix the coconut paste ,cumin powder and the crushed masala together in a pan and cook, adding water whenever necssary, for about 20 minutes.
  • Add the cleaned and cut fish to which salt has been added and simmer till fish is cooked.
