Badam Kheer
Ingredients for Badam Kheer:
  • Almonds(Badam) - 1cup
  • Milk - 1/2 litre
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Saffron(Kesar) - 3 strands
Method for Badam Kheer:
  • Soak saffron in little cold milk , and keep aside.
  • Soak almonds in hot water for an hour or more.
  • Remove skin and grind the almond in to a paste with milk .
  • Cook the almond paste for 10 minutes stirring it constantly.
  • Add sugar and keep stirring , then add the remaining milk
  • Boil for another 20 minutes till the the milk thicken a little.
  • Add the soaked saffron and enjoy Badam Kheer hot or cold accordingly.
