Egg Biryani
Ingredients for Egg Biryani:
  • Basmati rice -2 cups
  • Eggs  - 6 no's hard boiled
  • Ghee/oil - 1/2 cup
  • Onion - 2 no's chopped
  • Garlic - 4 cloves chopped
  • Bay leaves - 2 no's
  • Cinnamon - 1 stick
  • Cardamom - 1 (Brown)
  • Cardamom pods - 3 no's
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt To Taste

Method for Egg Biryani:

  • Wash the basmati rice and soak in water for 30 minutes.
  • Heat the ghee/oil  in a deep sauce pan and fry onions and garlic together with the bay leaves, cinnamon and cardamoms, until golden.
  • Carefully prick the eggs with a fork and add to the pan.
  • Stir in turmeric, chili powder and fry .
  • Add soaked rice and stir slowly and carefully for 5 minutes.
  • Pour in water and salt , and cook over a medium heat until the rice is tender and water is absorbed.
  • Sprinkle garam masala powder over it.
  • Garnish Egg Biryani with chopped coriander leaves.
