Aloo Matar Tomato Curry
Ingredients for Aloo Matar Tomato Curry: 
  • Potatoes - 1/4 Kg"
  • Fresh peas - 1 Cup
  • Tomatoes - 1/4 Kg
  • Oil - 2 tablespoon
  • Cumin seed - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ginger Paste - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic  Paste - 1/2 teaspoon   
  • Cloves - 2   
  • Dried red Chilli - 2
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 Cup

Method for Aloo Matar Tomato Curry:

  • Cut potatoes in cubes and tomatoes chopped.
  • Heat the oil in a non-stick Pan over medium heat.
  • Add the ginger, garlic, cumin seeds and red Chillies.
  • Cook until the garlic and ginger are fragrant , for few seconds.
  • Add the potatoes and turmeric.
  • Stir fry until the potatoes are lightly browned.
  • Add 1 cup of water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Cover and simmer over low heat until the potatoes are almost cooked.
  • Add the peas and tomatoes and continue cooking  until heated through, stirring very gently.
  • Add  salt and pepper to taste.
  • Garnish with  coriander leaves.
  • Enjoy Aloo Matar Tomato Curry with Poories or Paranthas or white rice.
