Ingredients for Potato Kurma:
- Potatoes - 1/4 Kg
- Tomatoes - 3 no's (finely chopped)
- Onion - 2 no's (finely chopped)
- Green chilli - 1 no (finely chopped)
- Fresh green peas - 1/2 cup
- Ginger-Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
- Coconut powder - 2 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil - 1 tablespoon
- salt to taste
Method for Potato Kurma:
- Heat oil in a pan, saute cumin, mustard seeds, let them splutter, add garlic ginger paste, saute it.
- Add onions fry till golden brown, add tomatoes, green chilli and peas, once the tomatoes are well cooked and oil starts to separate add potatoes, salt, red chilli powder, coconut powder, turmeric and little bit of water if required.
- Cook them covered till the potatoes are tender on medium heat.
- Garnish with coriander leaves .
- Enjoy Potato Kurma with Chapati/ paranthas.
