Ingredients for Moong ki Daal ke Gatte:
- Moong Dal - 1/4 Kg
- Oil - 4 tablespoon
- Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
- Onion - 2 (finely chopped )
- Tomoto - 2 (finely chopped )
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam Masala - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander Leaves - A bunch
- Salt to taste.
Method for Moong ki Daal ke Gatte:
- Soak dal for 5-6 hours, grind and make smooth paste.
- Add salt and pour in a dish and steam it till set. Cool it down and cut into pieces(Gatte).
- Heat oil and fry onion, ginger-garlic paste until light golden brown. Add tomato and stir well , cook till oil begins to separate.
- Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt, cook a little then add the pieces (Gatte) of steamed dal and fry for some time.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Enjoy Moong ki Daal ke Gatte with Jeera rice and chapaties.
