Moong ki Daal ke Gatte
Ingredients for Moong ki Daal ke Gatte: 
  • Moong Dal - 1/4 Kg
  • Oil - 4 tablespoon
  • Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic paste  - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion - 2 (finely chopped )
  • Tomoto - 2 (finely chopped )
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam Masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander Leaves - A bunch
  • Salt  to taste.     

Method for Moong ki Daal ke Gatte:

  • Soak dal for 5-6 hours, grind and make smooth paste.
  • Add salt and pour in a dish and steam it till set. Cool it down and cut into pieces(Gatte).
  • Heat oil and fry onion, ginger-garlic paste until light golden brown. Add tomato and stir well , cook till oil begins to separate.
  • Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt, cook a little then add the  pieces (Gatte) of steamed dal and fry for some time.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Enjoy Moong ki Daal ke Gatte with Jeera rice and chapaties.
