Ingredients for Aloo Matar:
- Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Onion chopped -1
- Ginger paste - tablespoons
- Garlic paste - 1tablespoons
- Bay leaves - 1
- Cinnamon stick - 2
- Cloves - 2
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoons
- Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoons
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 teaspoons
- Coriander powder- 1/2 teaspoons
- Tomatoes - 2 Big
- Potatoes cubed - 2 Big
- Green peas - 1 Cup
- Coriander Leaves - 1/2 Cup
- Salt to taste
Method for Aloo Matar:
- Heat oil and fry onion & ginger-garlic paste till golden.
- Add cloves, bay leaves & cinnamon. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Add garam masala, chili powder, turmeric, coriander, tomatoes and salt.
- Add potatoes & peas. Pour in water and bring to a boil.
- Cook , coverd and simmer gently for 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are done.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Enjoy Aloo Matar with chapaties or poories.
