Aloo Ghobi
Ingredients for Aloo Ghobi:
  • Cauliflower, trimmed & cut into florets - 1/2 Kg.
  • Potato, peeled and cut into cubes - 1/4 Kg.
  • Oil - 4 tablespoons  .
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Green chili sliced - 1.
  • Ginger, peeled & Chopped.
  • Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Chopped fresh coriander, for garnish.
  • Tomatoes,  for garnish.

Method for Aloo Ghobi:

  • Heat the oil over high heat until very hot but not smoking. Add the cumin seeds .
  • Add the chili powder, coriander, turmeric, cauliflower, and salt and cover for 15 minutes.
  • Gently stir in the potatoes and 1 to 2 teaspoons water to prevent the mixture from sticking.
  • Cook for  20 minutes more.
  • To serve, sprinkle with the garam masala and garnish with the coriander and tomatoes.
  • Enjoy Aloo Ghobi with Plain parathas/Roties .
