Ingredients for Tomato Sauce:
- Tomatoes - 1/2 Kg
- Tomato paste - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 4 Cloves
- Olive oil - 1/4 cup
- Onion - 1 no.
- Carrot - 2 no's
- Garlic - 4 Cloves
- Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coarse sea salt to taste
Method for Tomato Sauce:
- Heat the olive oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
- Saute the onion and carrot for 3 minutes, reduce the heat to medium, cover and cook another 20 minutes .
- Add the garlic, tomatoes and tomato paste. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for about 10 minutes to blend the flavors.
- Cool the cooked sauce and blend in a blender and strain into a bowl.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Enjoy this homemade Tomato Sauce with samosas, pakoras and other indian snakes.
