Tomato Sauce
Ingredients for Tomato Sauce:
  • Tomatoes - 1/2 Kg
  • Tomato paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 4 Cloves
  • Olive oil - 1/4 cup
  • Onion - 1 no.
  • Carrot - 2 no's
  • Garlic - 4 Cloves
  • Black pepper powder  - 1 teaspoon
  • Coarse sea salt to taste
Method for Tomato Sauce:
  • Heat the olive oil in a large heavy skillet  over medium-high heat.
  • Saute the onion and carrot for 3 minutes, reduce the heat to medium, cover  and cook another 20 minutes .
  • Add the garlic, tomatoes and tomato paste. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for about 10 minutes to blend the flavors.
  • Cool the cooked sauce and blend in a blender and strain into a bowl.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Enjoy this homemade Tomato Sauce with samosas, pakoras and other indian snakes.
