Rice Recipes

Ingredients for Kashmiri Pulao:
- Basmati rice - 1/2 Kg
- Milk - 2 cups
- Cream - 1/2 cup
- Saffron - 4 no's strands
- Mixed Fruits - 1/2 cup chopped
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Ghee/Butter - 2 tablespoon
- Cloves - 3 no's
- Bay leaf - 1 no.
- Cinnamon - 1 stick
- Cardamom - 3 no's
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Rose water
- Salt to taste
Method for Kashmiri Pulao:
- Wash basmati rice and soak in water for about 10 minutes.
- Heat ghee/butter in a pan and add cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds, bay leaf and cardamoms.
- Now add soaked rice and fry for 2 minutes.
- Mix saffron ,cream, milk, sugar and salt and add it to rice in a pan.
- Add half a cup of water,bring to a boil ,cover and simmer till cooked.
- When cooked, mix in chopped mixed fruit.
- Add few drops of rose water before serving Kashmiri Pulao.
